Royal Community Supports is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support an Individual who lives in Metuchen , NJ

Metuchen:  Looking for a social and fun-loving DSP who is into pop culture and/or sports and/or music and/or video games - basically, a DSP who brings fun to the table!  Adult living with CP (uses a wheelchair) is looking for some physical assistance (including assistance with adult incontinence products) but MAINLY looking for a DSP to stir up some fun with - in nice weather, take walks around the neighborhood or into town to grab a bite.  When it's not conducive to being outside, the DSP will be charged with making the home life a fun life.   This is a great position for a DSP who likes to enjoy their work day - bring on the fun!  Flexible P/T hours - a few evenings a week (4 pm - 10 pm);  weekend hours also available, Sat and Sun 11-5 (or something like that!)  If you are the right DSP for the job, we will work with your availability.  $24/hr.

-A 401K is a benefit that is available to employees who have successfully completed their 90-day introductory period to Royal.  Employees who have are eligible to enroll the following month.  Royal has a 10% match to employee contributions, and more information about this benefit can be provided upon request

Qualifications:

Must be able to recognize that disability is a label and not a description

Must be 18 years old or older

Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent

Must have a car

Must have valid driver's license and good driving record

Must be willing to have a background check

Must be be willing to take a drug screening

Must be authorized to legally work in the United States

Starting Pay Rate:

$24 per hour
