EDI Manager

Job Overview:

This position is in charge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) analysis and development. This position assesses current technical architecture; evaluates and proposes architectural and design changes; and leads implementation of changes to system architecture to improve reliability, maintainability, and upgradability of the system. This position maintains oversight over technical choices, development of software code, configuration and infrastructure set up. Additionally, this position oversees and ensures the timely resolution of any production issues associated with the systems managed by their team.

• This role will work out of our Bridgewater, NJ office.
• Applicants must have experience with IBM i-Series, AS400 enviroments, past EDI expierence to be considered.

ROLE COMMITMENTS

• Review or create EDI specifications and data mapping requirements.
• Work closely with the EDI providers to complete managed services implementation.
• EDI project management
• Responsible for EDI data integration, communication setup, and testing.
• Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of tasks/projects.
• Post implementation support for all EDI clients internal and external
• Work closely with the Project Management and Development team to provide timely updates and estimates.

• Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful documentation.
• Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
• Document and communicate the results of your efforts.
• Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
• Perform user acceptance testing.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• A minimum of 10 years Supply Chain experience in business analysis or an IT related field.
• Experience analyzing EDI specifications especially transaction sets 204/219/214/220/850/860/856/810/846/855/852/870/867
• Experience with OpenText managed services
• Experience with IBM i or iSeries, AS400 and Cloud Based ERP solutions.
• Experience with VAI S2K ERP Software is very desirable.
• Ability to understand data mapping as it relates to project integration
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot FTP, SFTP, AS2, and HTTP connections
• Familiarity with a wide variety of data file types such as DB2, CSV, XML, JSON, iDOC, X12, and EDI standard documents
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• The ability to successfully work alone or with a team as needed.
• Experience working with EDI platforms helpful, especially OpenText.
• Basic understanding of APIs and Web services.
• Experience with JavaScript is a plus.
• Ability to respond to an incident during off-hours, if needed.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
