Role Context:

The primary role is to ensure that excellent operations and services are provided to all people at Royal HaskoningDHV in UK and that our services are aligned to local UK business and legislative needs and to lead the development of UK operations and services further .

What will you do as a HR Manager UK?

  • You will ensure an efficient and effective HR operations and service delivery to managers and employees in the UK, considering global and local standards. Of the 6000 Royal HaskoningDHV employees globally, over 600 employees work in the UK.
  • Serve as a partner and sounding board for the Resident Director and local management team in matters relating to UK HR operations and services. You’ll work closely together with the global Centres of Expertise, the UK HR People Services team and work together with the UK People Relations Partners to address the UK people needs and priorities effectively and fostering the right culture and team spirit.
  • You will proactively partner and collaborate with your UK stakeholders to provide pragmatic operations and services to bring the HR global plan to life.
  • Serves as the go-to person for embedding organisational changes on country level to their respective organisations and the impact these have on staff. To have impact, help effective decision making and decide on UK priorities, there is a dotted reporting line from all HR UK operations entities into the HR Manager UK.
  • By serving as a partner to the Global People Services team, our global HR Shared Services team, you ensure an efficient and compliant HR service, considering global standards and policies wherein UK needs are met and incorporated.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Represent HR in the UK Leadership team.
  • Provide a strong link between local and regional shared services.
  • Accountable for best possible employee experience.
  • Partner with the global Talent Acquisition team to meet recruitment targets locally.
  • Drive continuous improvements in HR processes & services to ensure local compliance and beyond.
  • Co-ordinate salary reviews and national salary benchmarking.

What will you bring?

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role in the UK.
  • Have a strong desire to form clear delivery plans with the team and stakeholders with the ability to close out initiatives to swift completion.
  • Experience of working in a global matrix organisation collaborating with colleagues internationally is desirable.
  • Proven experience of advising on reorganisations/ acquisitions, TUPE and due diligence.
  • Experience in organisational effectiveness and organization change processes, Talent and Reward agendas.
  • Excellent relationship management and people skills.
  • Organising and planning skills; results oriented and getting things done.
  • Proven ability to facilitate, persuade, influence and build credibility with all levels and all functions.
  • Strong consultancy and communication skills, specifically diagnosis.
  • Analytical, interpretative and decision-making skills.
