What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at Roycroft Inn?
The Roycroft Inn in East Aurora is looking for Line Cooks to join our incredible team.
Summary: This position requires proper speed and execution of recipes and plates as laid out by the Chef and sous chefs. The ability to read and execute recipes, prep lists, proper cooking techniques as well as doneness of proteins, vegetables, grains and starches, proper sauce work and reheating procedures, in a busy, fine-dining setting. Proper sanitation and food handling practices. Ability to work well with others and keep a friendly environment. Proper cleaning and labeling procedures.
Core Responsibilities:
· Finish prep list as laid out by chef / sous chefs
· Properly set up the station on time as laid out by chef / sous chefs
· Execute service as laid out by chef / sous chef
· Clean station / kitchen as a teammate as outlined by chef / sous chefs
· Complete the prep list for the following day
· Work on any other projects as directed by chef / sous chefs
Minimum Qualifications For The Position:
- 1 years’ experience as a pantry / prep cook
- Background in a fine-dining establishment is preferred but not necessary

- Flexibility to work mornings and evenings, weekends and holidays is essential
