Hiring Customer Service/Sales Associates for local in person fundraising events

Brief Overview:

• Fundraise at events for our charity organization supporting youth in the foster care system

Our client is a charity organization of over 50 years working to support youth in the foster care system. From generous donations we are able to open advocacy centers for youth to get support, help new foster families, and make donations of backpacks full of supplies for the kids to have their own belongings.

Role details: In this role our associates will be working at various local events and businesses, such as markets, restaurants, festivals, etc. conversing with guests to explain and advocate for the organization, encouraging guests to donate, and explaining where those donation funds are going. You will be working at different places every day for a variety of interactions!

Who would be best in this role: We are currently searching for candidates who are able to begin work immediately. Those who will do best in this role are extremely outgoing people who love to talk with all different types of people. Candidates should be interested in growth opportunities, as we want to help you grow into higher roles. They should also be comfortable working indoors and outdoors, self motivated to hit fundraising goals, and have their own transportation.

Every day Responsibilities:

• Attend different in person events (both indoors and outdoors) at various locations to advocate for our organization
• Strive to turn every conversation into a donation made
• Explain to guests the charity, what we do, and encourage them to make a donation, and explain where that donation would go
• Set up and take down fundraising set up at events
• Self motivated to meet individual and team goals
• Participate in team meetings where goals will be discussed, set, and also contribute individual feedback to improve our efforts 
• Learn about the creation and development of fundraising campaigns, the set up, the execution/presenting our charity partners' message to the community, and reporting back with results

Candidate Requirements:

• Must have a drivers license and OWN reliable transportation to events
• Must be comfortable approaching and engaging with a variety of people all day
• Must be self motivated and driven to hit donation goals
• Must be able to stand for multiple hours at a time
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors 
• High school diploma or GED required (must be 18 )
• Must be able to work fully in person
