Our company represents a nationwide charity organization that has been around for over 60 years. We raise funds for child abuse and neglect prevention, as well as funds for children in the foster care system. Our funds raised go towards building advocacy centers, mental health services for kids, and donation of backpacks filled with essentials. We want to show children that they are loved, and they have a bright future ahead of them.
We are currently looking for full time professional fundraisers to help our efforts. This is a paid, full time position working with our team in various retail locations and events, both indoors and outdoors, speaking with guests about what we do, encouraging them to donate, and explaining where those donations are going.
You will do well in this position if you enjoy talking with others, and are extremely outgoing. We are looking for candidates motivated to hit individual and team goals in raising funds, and excited to work at events. Candidates should be comfortable working indoors and outdoors, standing for extended periods of time, and encouraging guests to donate.
This is a great entry level sales role!
Daily Responsibilities:
- Engage with guests in both group and one-on-one settings
- Participate in various fundraising events (indoors and outdoors) to explain our charity and goals to potential donors
- Encourage guests to donate, and explain where those funds would be going towards
- Have the knowledge and understanding of our charity's mission to answer any questions/concerns from potential donors
- Help brainstorm and execute fundraiser ideas and events to participate in
- Maintain professionalism at all times
- Participate in daily and weekly team meetings where goals will be discussed, set, and also contribute individual feedback to improve as a company
- Help train new fundraisers once you have displayed mastery of the role, and quickly move into leadership roles

Qualifications:
- Must be extremely comfortable talking and approaching people
- Must feel comfortable encouraging people to donate to the organization
- Must be a team player and bring a positive mindset to help drive the team towards its goals
- Be able to hit individual and team fundraising goals
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to adapt to speaking with various different types of audiences at various locations
- Should have reliable transportation to get to events
- Must be 18 with a high school degree or GED
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
