Job Description:
As a Pharmacy Technician with IV sterile compounding experience, you will play a crucial role in preparing and compounding intravenous medications. This position requires a valid WV pharmacy technician license and some recent experience with sterile compounding.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile intravenous medications accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to aseptic technique and sterile compounding standards to ensure product integrity and patient safety.
- Assist pharmacists with medication order processing and verification.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the compounding area.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate medication fulfillment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- Active West Virginia Pharmacy Technician license.
- Recent experience with IV sterile compounding.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in compounding medications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work second shift and possibly weekends.
