What are the responsibilities and job description for the BIM Designer position at RPO Recruitment?
A well-established client of ours is currently looking for a talented and passionate BIM Designer to join their team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
Managing BIM project data sets, regularly reviewing BIM models to ensure compliance with Project standards and requirements
You’ll interface with architects, and structural, and civil engineers throughout the project lifecycle to set up models and drawings, incorporate markups, implement the design and print
Build 3D models and content, to the Level of Development (LOD) specified by the design team and client
Create construction models for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Low Voltage disciplines in Revit as part of a BIM team
Working with clients or other consultants to manage multiple BIM files for project coordination, often hosted on BIM360, and communicate design concerns with project managers and team.
Requirements
BS, or MS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, computer sciences), Architecture, or similar building design profession
2 years of experience working in the building design/construction industry
Proficient in Revit by producing 3D structural models by gathering information from architectural and MEP 3D model
Proficiency in a BIM authoring platform – Civil3D, OpenRoads/Rail, Revit or similar production tools
Proficiency in a CAD authoring platform – AutoCAD, MicroStation or similar
