JOB SUMMARY:
This function serves as on-site labor in the logistics area of the storeroom; including receiving, stocking, issuing, inventory accuracy, cycle counting, client interface, customer service and computer transaction entry, operation commercial machinery including load and transport of product on public roads. The focus of this position is to service the client with their parts and inventory needs including: locate stock and deliver stock items to their destination outside of storeroom upon request or per Kanban, receive stock, issue materials to client, and use systems to track inventory as well as to locate and verify inventory for the client. This position is a regular, frequent point of contact with the client and requires a strong, effective customer service capability.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in part identification
- 2 years professional work experience, preferably with lead responsibilities
- PC Based Windows Operating System computer experience, and ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in new software systems
- Strong people and customer service skills
- Solid organization and detail-orientation skills
- Ability to work well with people at all levels and motivate attendants
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be safety conscience
- Variable work schedule
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must have good basic math skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift license
- Comfortable operating large equipment/machinery
- Requires valid driver’s license
- Demands accuracy of self and others
- Professional phone demeanor
- 10-year clean background history
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Often walking, standing, carrying and lifting to 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Frequent use of keyboard and mouse (fine hand movements) to input data into computer system
- Occasionally utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material in
excess of 40 lbs.
- Daily reading, writing and speaking English
- Often reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting to handle inventory
- Flexibility to take on shift changes as required by position and ability to work overtime as needed
WORK ENVIRONMENT & ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Attendants are regularly exposed to heat, cold, dust, chemicals, mineral fibers and may moist or dry climate. Attendants must utilize all personal protective equipment required at their specific site including: steel-toed shoes, safety gloves, hard hat, noise suppressors where required. Attendants may be required to work more than 40 hours a week for special projects or incur some local travel for work or training needs.
Salary : $27,900 - $35,400
