The Opportunity
RS&H is currently seeking an Aviation Project Assistant for the Aviation Practice in Detroit, Michigan.

You will have an opportunity to support our great engineers, architects, and consultants by acting as a project assistant on a variety of our airport projects. Project assistant actives may include assistance with contract development; construction phase document management; subconsultant and client invoice management; project record keeping; specifications editing; document proof reading; proposal preparation assistance; presentation and meeting preparation; drafting meeting notes and memorandums; and other similar duties.
Administrative assistant duties will include support for the Aviation Practice. Activities may include composing, copying, transmitting, filing, and/or mailing firm correspondence; scheduling meeting/travel arrangements; coordinating supplies; and overall office function support. The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a collegial, but dead-line driven setting. Qualifications:
- Associates degree preferred
- 5 years administrative/project assistant related work experience in an architectural, engineering, consulting office setting. College or other applicable advanced training may substitute for experience on a year-to-year basis.
- Must be familiar with construction document management process.
- Must be familiar with typical project management activities undertaken within an architectural, engineering, consulting office.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), construction document management software (such as New Forma), and project management software (such as Deltek Vision). Additional software experience preferred.
- Solid ability to multi-task with above-average follow-up skills
- Solid ability to work under time constraints and project deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion to work in a collaborative, creative environment to undertake great projects
