The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Pursuits Manager for our Infrastructure Team to support our Texas Initiative. This position can be remote, or hybrid role based in our San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, or Houston offices.

As a marketing specialist, you will have the opportunity to shape the way we connect with our clients through RFQ and RFP responses with special attention to thoughtful messaging and effective storytelling. You will work closely with a highly experienced team of engineers, marketers, business developers, and graphic designers who come together to understand clients and communicate our value proposition.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead capture teams in researching, developing pursuit strategy, and managing the proposal process
- Create proposals for pursuits and respond to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs from start to finish using InDesign, following established procedures to meet proposal requirements and schedules.
- Participate in, or facilitate, meetings and collaborate with internal and external team members to outline message components and develop differentiators, win themes, compelling text, and graphic concepts.
- Elevate proposal layout and presentation to encourage graphic proposals that are easy to read.
- Ability to research new markets, clients, and funding initiatives.
- Coach presentation teams for interviews and other shortlisting activities.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the firm’s key talent, project, and client portfolio.
- Maintain current knowledge base of competitive environment and the firm’s differentiators.
- Solve problems quickly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Minimum Requirement include:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, journalism, communications, business, or related field]
- Minimum of 7 years of prior work experience within A/E/C industry.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (notably, InDesign and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Prior experience with TxDOT and Texas municipal client proposals required. Strong understanding of Texas market.
- Thorough understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and delivery methods.
- Possesses excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Deltek Vision CRM software.
- Knowledge and experience with Standard Form 330 preparation a plus.
- Prior experience working with Engineers and/or Planners in the A/E/C industry.
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time as needed
- Membership and involvement with local chapter of SMPS, WTS, DBIA or other related A/E/C industry associations a plus.
