Paralegal Job Description
Communicate with clients and opposing counsel, witnesses, experts, courts, and clerks; assist in all aspects of case preparation to preserve and assert clients’ rights to obtain most favorable outcome/resolution; conduct basic liability investigation; manage client relations; identify potential disclosures and exhibits; draft and distribute demand letters; file documents via PACER (CM/ECF), Florida E-Filing Portal, and COURT MAP; interview clients and witnesses; ensure sufficiency of form and content of-documents and conformity with local rules and courtroom-specific procedural requirements; coordinate witnesses and produce responsive, non-privileged documents; collect, organize, and evaluate evidence; review case files for upcoming deadlines and action items; determine specific requirements for discovery and third-party evidence-collection; review and analyze production; prepare and package presentation of case materials; prepare hearing materials. research statutory notice requirements; draft pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, and statutory notice letters; assist in trial preparation and trial process.
