Café Barista

Rupert's is expanding into the space next door and we are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages and food items. There will be some limited food preparation and there will be alcohol sales as well. If you have a passion for coffee, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent customer service skills, we would love to hear from you.

```Responsibilities:```

- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner

- Take customer orders and prepare coffee beverages according to established recipes

- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment

- Prepare and serve food items such as pastries and sandwiches

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area

- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register

- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns

- Follow health and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages

```Requirements:```

- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is required

- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso-based beverages

- Familiarity with retail math and basic math skills for cash handling

- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
