Assistant Manager

Summary of Position:

As an Assistant General Manager of Rusty Taco, you will assist in the management of operations of the restaurant by ensuring compliance with company standards, and the highest quality products and services are delivered to each guest.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assists in coordinating staffing, customer service, inventory control, cash reporting, employee training, and safety.
• Recruits, interviews, and hires team members; conducts performance appraisals, motivates, trains, and takes corrective action when needed.
• Maintains fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensures products are consistent with company quality standards.
• Ensures cleanliness of the entire restaurant; ensures that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurants preventative maintenance program.
• Assists in communicating company changes/focus to team members.
• Ensures that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurants recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
• Operates in accordance with Federal/State Laws, and OSM.
• Clearly understands and maintains the ability to perform every job in the restaurant; fills in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
• Ensures complete and timely execution of corporate and local marketing programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
• 6 months or more of experience in a management or supervisory position is required.
• Requires a valid drivers license.
• Knowledge of Rusty Taco training procedures and materials is preferred.
• Must obtain Food Handler/Food Safety certification within 90 days of hire.
• May require obtaining Responsible Alcohol Certification.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to reach and move items from as high as six feet and as low as six inches off the ground.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 6 hours without a break.
• Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction to make correct change.
• Ability to use hands, arms, shoulders, and back to build menu items for up to 6 hours.
• Ability to work around industrial-strength cleaners.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions (MS Word, Excel)
