Job Summary:
The Assistant Sales Managers responsibility exists of growing the profit and sales volume of the sales and finance department of the dealership.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Train new sales staff on all aspects of their job in the sales department.
- Structure deals for sales department to maximize profitability.
- Provide ongoing Sales and Backend product training to sales personnel to maximize sales and finance profit potential.
- Uphold and enforce RV Value Mart, Inc. polices.
- Set goals for sales staff.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure that sales staff is providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure that all customers are being promptly assisted.
- Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.
Duties/Responsibilities:
In addition to supervisory responsibilities the Sales Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assist in training, motivating, counseling, and monitoring the performance of all new and used RV sales personnel.
- Assist in forecasting aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives for the department and for individual salespeople and provides them with the support to meet these goals.
- Ensure that all distributed leads are being distributed fairly and responded to quickly.
- Monitor all forms of communication to customers to ensure that customers are being responded to quickly and all attempts have been made to earn the customers business.
- Make attempts to close all quotes that are not being closed by sales personnel.
- Helps the sales manager maintain a balanced inventory based on customer and market statistics.
- Coordinate closings and deliveries with the Service Department.
- Monitor website and inventory to ensure that all units are pictured and online in a timely manner.
- Ensure that inventory is organized on the lot and presentable for the best possible customer experience.
- Assist in RV Sales
- Complete Financing and closings as needed
- Assume Sales Manager responsibilities on Sales Manager off days.
- Assist at all RV Shows as needed keeping the companies best interest in mind throughout the time at the show.
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Attends manager meetings as requested.
