Clinical Systems Analyst

Job Summary

Coordinates activities required to implement, maintain and support the Hospital Information System Applications. This includes primarily clinical applications, but may also include financial systems as needed. Reviews, analyzes, tests, debugs and install systems applications to meet user specifications and requirements. Will act as team leader on assigned projects.

Formal Education and Job-Related Experience

• RN with Bachelors degree. IT experience a plus
• RN or LPN license
• At least five years general patient care experience, pediatric rehabilitation preferred.
• Two to three years experience with Health Information Systems or other computer systems.
• High degree of accuracy and analytical ability.
• Institutional clinical department operations/process experience and the ability to implement improvements.
• Pediatric rehabilitation patient care experience with a good working knowledge of day to day nursing activities.
• Exposure to multi-user Health Information Systems and hospital clinical procedures.
• Analytical design, planning and system conversion experience. Adaptability to perform a variety of tasks subject to frequency change, changes in production for priority reasons, and development of new operating procedures.
