RWJBH is seeking a Patient Transporter for our New Brunswick campus,
This is a Part time Night position, 20 hours per week,
The Patient Transporter will assist patient on all Nursing Units. Transporters will escort patients, via stretcher or wheelchair, to and from patient care and treatment areas in a safe and efficient manner. Transporters will assist with patients positioning and mobility. A transporter must be able to communicate well with the patient to assure a positive experience. The transporter will perform all other duties as assigned running errands, linen exchange, and the cleaning of equipment. The transporter plays a key role in patient care and patient safety.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Previous patient transporting experience preferred
Must have excellent customer service skills
