| We are currently looking for a Unit Clerk. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Unit Clerk assists in the planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities in the nursing station by performing clerical and receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area. | |
| You Will Be Responsible For: | |
| Alerts nursing staff to new medical orders and test/procedural results. | |
| Always identifies correct patient charts and reports before filing; verifies that all information is correct and takes corrective action when necessary (plate, face sheet, ID band, etc). Ensures accuracy at all times. | |
| Implements all staffing policies. | |
| Assists nurses by picking up and delivering, specimens, medications, charts, requisitions, etc. to different departments as requested. | |
| Calls in consultations within appropriate time frame, completes consult sheet and places on medical record. | |
| Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology; asks questions to clarify misunderstandings. | |

| Your Qualifications Are: | |
| High school diploma required; college degree preferred. | |
