Associate Tech Architect(Java)

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Associate Tech Architect with a solid background in Java8 development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for software architecture and design, with expertise in Java technologies, Spring Framework, and cloud-native development. As a Tech Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex software solutions, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring junior team members.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable and reliable Java-based applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and develop architectural solutions
• Hands on and capable of providing technical guidance and mentorship to development teams
• Drive best practices in software development, including coding standards, design patterns, and architectural principles
• Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and performance
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their applicability to our projects

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 8 years of experience in Java software development
• Strong proficiency in Java programming language, including Java Lambdas and Streams API
• In-depth knowledge of Java 11 or above, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Java 8 
• Excellent understanding of the Spring Framework, including Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security
• Solid foundational skills in Data Structures, Design Patterns, and Object-Oriented Design principles
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including database design and optimization
• Proficiency in Docker containers and container orchestration platforms
• Good understanding of AWS cloud services and experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
• Familiarity with event streaming platforms like Apache Kafka
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to architect complex solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
