ROLE: VOIP Technician
TYPE: 6-Month Contract/Contract to Hire
LOCATION: Pennsauken, NJ
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Remote with onsite requirement less than 10% of the time
START DATE: May 2022
SHIFT: M-F, 8:30 am - 5 pm EST
VACCINATION REQUIREMENT: No COVID Vax Requirement
We have an immediate need to hire a customer-service-centric Telecom Technician to join our telephony support team in Cherry Hill, NJ. The role will primarily support the Cisco phone environment and include a mix of project-based work and daily ticket-based work. This fast-growing company has an excellent culture, and the team will train you on everything you need to know about their products to successfully support their customers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the company's telecom team with routine technical issues, daily tickets, and project-based work (75% daily tickets, 25% project-based)
- Document, track and balance incoming customer support calls, tickets, and emails for an environment of 5,000 network phones
- Provide support for telephony device connectivity to an enterprise local and wide area network
- Configure VOIP phones, port numbers, and, troubleshoot remote office staff with both business and home network issues
- Assist users with setting up new Cisco phones on the network
- Communicate effectively to both external customers and internal employees/managers
- Triage tasks appropriately and request direction from senior supervisors when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is required
- Cisco IP Telephony Certification is a plus but not required
- Experience supporting VoIP softphones such as Cisco Jabber is required
- Previous experience supporting ticket tracking systems i.e. Jira
- Support a national userbase without requiring any travel
- Background with project management experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent phone presence, customer response and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
