Summary
The Accounting Coordinator I computes, classifies and records numerical data to maintain financial records. Performs any combination of routine, calculating, posting and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Ensure accuracy of figues, calculations and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Functions
- Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information.
- Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes.
- Debit, credit and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.
- Assume responsibility for effectively researching, tracking and resolving (or properly referring) accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Perform essential duties of the month-end close process accurately and in a timely matter.
- Maintain regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and/or correct transactions.
- Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform general office duties such as filing and routine correspondence
- Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Computer knowledge (Workday & Microsoft Office) advanced preferred
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required, minimum 2 years college Discipline Accounting.
- Two (2) years or more Two years related experience Accounting/Bookeeping preferred
- Computer knowledge (Workday & Microsoft Office) advanced preferred

Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market
data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or
certifications, etc. The hourly rate for this position is $17 hr.
