SUMMARY

The position of Manager of Finance and RVS Sales Development is to lead Ryder Vehicle Sales (RVS) sales efforts in all 56 Used Vehicle Truck Centers (UTC) to increase and improve sales quotas. Researches, develops, and maintains sales relationships with third party financial institutions that provide financing for our Used Truck Center customers. Responsibilities include training and coaching for the RVS sales team to improve our ancillary offerings (Finance, Extended Warranty, Prepaid Select Care, Safety Services and REIN) , as well as any future service and product offerings. In order to drive and maximize these offerings, the position will include a product quota attainment for these ancillary product offerings and a sales incentive component. This position is required to create and deliver targeted training to the RVS sales team to help improve and increase the overall sales results while adding value to our retail customers. This position is also responsible to design special incentives to initiate and drive sales of both new and existing products and services. The Manager of Finance and RVS Sales Development must be able to identify any gaps in the sales offerings and strategically spearhead and implement process improvement solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develops and maintains sales relationships with third party lenders and other financial institutions to increase domestic Used Truck Centers (UTC) and International UTC financial transactions.
  • Identifies and independently selects suitable third party vendors that will assist a diverse portfolio of customers with unique financial requirements.
  • Negotiates and secures vehicle finance and warranty rates.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers strategic sales training materials to the RVS sales team at all UTC locations, as it relates the products and services offered within the RVS division, as well as continuously evaluate the success of the training.
  • Training materials will be customized based on the sales products, sales functions and skills, sales tools, and target customers. The delivery method of training will entail traveling to UTC locations.
  • Coaches, mentors, and supports both the inside and outside retail RVS sales teams with regards to selling new and existing product offerings and services. - Provide education and training on existing products and services as well as policies and procedures for these product offerings.
  • Serves as a project matter or subject matter expert advisor for special projects as well as development, implementation and management of special projects for RVS.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree Business, Marketing or related field.

EXPERIENCE

Four (4) years or more experience Sales and/or Finance, preferably in Transportation Industry

Understand computer hardware and software, especially word processing, spreadsheets, and email.

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of Vehicle Sales process, P&L, and Finance calculations.; advanced level.

TRAVEL - 20 - 30%

Applicants from California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York City, Connecticut and Washington - Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or certifications, etc. The salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $59,000. Salaries may be supplemented with a bonus/commissions as applicable and/or as business conditions allow.
