Position Description

We Can Accommodate Automatic Restrictions and have an opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver in Corsicana TX

You might be wondering what your paycheck will look like. 

$1538 or more per week - And it gets better

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.51 per Mile with 2500 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $21.52 per Stop with 10 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $27 per night with 2 - 3 nights per Week
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Retention Bonus: Pays you $1000 at 120 days and $1000 at 240 days
• Sign On Bonus: Pays you $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Sunday - Thursday or Monday - Friday 

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800 Maintenance Facilities. 

• Deliver SOLO To: TX, OK, LA, AR, MS and NM
• Tractor Type: Sleeper and Day Cab
• Trailer Type: 48', 53' and 57' Dry Van - Possibility of 48' Flatbed
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack and Lift Gate
• Freight: Touch - Hardware 
• We Reimburse Cost to Obtain Endorsements and Provide Training
• Endorsements: Hazmat - Must be Willing to Obtain Post Hire

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
