- Develops established customer base and relationships with core customers.
- Prices most orders independent of management.
- Builds extensive vendor and internal network.
- Plans territory/account approach and may provide input into colleagues' approaches; manages own resources.
- Mentors and trains new team members.
- Assists in creating account development plans.
- Performs inventory management for customer specific material.
- Communicates with operations team and may serve as a production meeting representative.
- Expected to solve problems that are difficult and sometimes complex
- Other duties as assigned my management and supervision
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree is preferred

- 5-7 years prior sales or industry experience required
- Extensive product and market knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of Ryerson processes and products
- Takes initiative - willing to make mistakes, learn and embrace/lead change
- Strategic thinker; able to make decisions for others in the absence of the sales manager
- Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected with advance notice
Experience Required: 5 - 7 Years
Education Required: Bachelors Degree Preferred
