We are looking for an HR Generalist to assist the Director of HR with developing and enacting company-wide human resources policies and procedures, and work to ensure that these policies and procedures are compliant with federal and state regulations. In addition to accurate record keeping, file maintenance, administration of benefits, and employee onboarding. The HR Generalist works to maintain positive employee relations between staff and the Company.

- $75,000 to $78,000 starting salary depending on experience

Schedule
- Full time hours Monday-Friday (Some Flexibility to start and end time)
- This role is 100% in office
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists with administering benefits to staff; helping to coordinate enrollment and acting as a liaison between Company and insurer
- Handles clerical functions including making copies, printing emails, scanning documents and sending them to the appropriate parties
- Ensure Company stays compliant with ever-changing state and federal regulations
- Assists with record keeping and upkeep of personnel files
- Assists with onboarding of new hires
- Assists with processing terminations
- Assists with processing incoming mail
- Works with Payroll to process court-mandated employee wage garnishments, deductions, etc.
- Answers employee requests/questions via phone call and email
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of HR
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Be self-motivated and adept at problem solving
- Able to clearly communicate with company employees at all levels
- Able to engage in professional behavior with company staff, customers, and insurers
- Able to work cohesively with Director of HR, Payroll, and other members of the administrative team
- Valid CA Driver’s license and the ability to visit other S&G locations as necessary
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- At least two years of related experience
- Leadership: 1 year
- SHRM or HRCI certification
