S&ME is looking for an eager and dedicated full-time Project Billing Specialist to join our Finance team in Region 3; Alabama, and Tennessee (Huntsville, Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Tri-Cities, or Chattanooga). This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration to provide flexibility and support a balanced work-life balance.
About the Role:
As a Project Billing Specialist, you will manage the financial aspects of projects within the accounting system. Collaborating closely with Project Managers, you will ensure precise financial records throughout the project's duration. Your responsibilities include interpreting and inputting contract details, verifying and updating project rate schedules and demographic data, overseeing the billing cycle, issuing client invoices, making necessary budget adjustments, and supporting Project Managers with contract-based collection efforts. Additionally, you will assist in collecting overdue accounts, conducting monthly reviews and invoicing of assigned projects through eBilling, and performing project closure activities. Key attributes for success in this role include meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, effective communication, a positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve common objectives.
About You:
- You have a High School Diploma or GED
- You have an Associate degree in Accounting or Finance, a plus
- You have 3 years' experience in project billing
- You have experience in KPI reporting and dashboards
