TITLE: Program Manager
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
JOB SUMMARY:
Plans, leads, and coordinates team personnel and the related product development and delivery processes for S&S Cycle designs, products, projects. Facilitates the successful completion of long term Life Cycle Projects. Scope of work ranges from concept development through product commercial launch including after action reviews.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Accountable as Program Manager to deliver assigned programs and projects.
Manages and provides leadership for any assigned personnel including work assignments and performance reviews.
Establishes specifications, targets, and deliverables and maintains these via reviews with relevant parties (marketing, finance, engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, management, etc.)
Plans and directs the construction of prototypes and samples to meet project timeline and company regulatory requirements
Project planning including Statement of Requirements, Work Breakdown Structure, NPV, budgets, and maintenance of project documents in accordance with the Product Development Process
Facilitates project meetings, design reviews, and communicates results.
Facilitates project team to establish test requirements, directs and supports testing to verify reliability and performance
Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards
Work within specified budget guidelines
Ensure regulatory compliance through test and analysis
Lead investigation of field problems and warranty issues
Continuously improve NPD methodology and related knowledge capture/retention
Understand and adhere to the department goals, objectives, and strategy
Establish and maintain credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions
Present and maintain positive morale amongst employees
Perform other program/project tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related Engineering degree preferred
PMP certification and/or related previous experience preferred.
Experience working as an engineering professional in Powersports or a related industry preferred
APQP based product development and launch experience preferred
Flexible, energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with high moral and ethical standards
Familiarity with IC engines and their components preferred
Able to relate to people at all levels of the organization in a positive fashion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; working knowledge of computer applications
PHYSICAL AND PPE REQUIREMENTS:

Must comply with safety equipment standards; safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed shoes
TRAVEL:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required
