Position Title: General Manager

Location: S2 Pickleball, Boise ID

Reports To: Ownership/Board of Directors

Salary Range: $50k-$60k, Full-time

S2 Pickleball is Boise’s premier indoor Pickleball facility offering state-of-the-art pickleball  amenities. Our club is dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for members and guests through top-notch facilities, engaging programs, and excellent customer service.

Position Summary: Are you a pickleball aficionado with a knack for leadership? The General Manager (GM) at S2 Pickleball is the heart and soul of our operations. You’ll be the captain of our pickleball ship, ensuring smooth sailing and high-fives all around.

Your mission: keep our club buzzing with excitement, maintain top-tier standards, and create an environment where fun meets excellence. This role calls for a visionary leader with strategic chops, a love for the game, and a talent for managing people, finances, and fun.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

• Be the pickleball maestro, guiding and inspiring our team.
• Cultivate a workplace that’s as energetic and engaging as a pickleball rally.
• Scout, train, and lead a team of rockstars to deliver top performance.
• Master the art of scheduling to keep everything running like a well-oiled machine.
• Regularly review staff performance and champion their growth.

Operations & Facility Management:

• Oversee the daily pickleball magic, ensuring every corner of our club is in tip-top shape.
• Keep our facilities pristine, safe, and sparkling clean.
• Implement and uphold club policies with a smile.
• Keep track of inventory and ensure we’re always stocked with the best gear and supplies.

Member & Guest Relations:

• Be the face of S2 Pickleball, ensuring every member and guest feels like a VIP.
• Quickly address inquiries, concerns, and feedback with flair.
• Design and execute strategies to keep members coming back for more.
• Host events and activities that keep the fun alive and kicking.

Marketing & Sales:

• Drive membership and merchandise sales to new heights.
• Collaborate with the CMO to roll out exciting marketing campaigns.
• Build strong ties with local businesses and community groups to spread the pickleball love.
• Boost all revenue streams, ensuring we exceed our financial targets.

Strategic Planning:

• Chart the course for the club’s future with innovative and strategic plans.
• Stay ahead of the game by keeping up with industry trends and innovations.
• Spot opportunities for growth and take our services to the next level.

Financial Management:

• Keep a keen eye on weekly financial performance and steer us towards our goals.
• Handle financial reports with precision, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
• Identify ways to grow revenue and trim costs without compromising the fun.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, ideally in sports, fitness, or hospitality.
• Proven success in managing a multifaceted facility or business.
• Strong financial skills, including budgeting and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends (because that’s when the pickleball magic happens!).
• A passion for pickleball and racquet sports is a big plus!
