Scope of Responsibility: The S&OP Manager is responsible for driving the S&OP process throughout the organization while ensuring Project Management Group’s integrity with customers and other areas. The position is responsible for continual evaluation of the S&OP process for budgeting, forecasting, IRs, and planning with a focus on plant scheduling mix for optimization of efficiencies for several areas.
Essential Duties:
- Synchronize and document all administrative aspects of project files, customer schedules, internal schedules, change orders, IR’s, and RFC’s
- Provide several areas of the company with exceptional customer service and technical knowledge to aid in the event of a critical situation
- Provide leaders with office, cell phone numbers, and e-mail to be reached 24/7 as items arises that effect the business
- Assist Sales in performing presentations to prospective clients on Sabre’s product, production, and design procedures
- Refine internal department procedures
- Assist in developing and maintaining reports and various schedules (i.e. monthly invoicing, major project activity, and daily job report)
- Continuously improve procedures and practices for organization
- Lead/Supervise field warranty issues required and resolutions
- Maintain an environment of continuous improvement. Continually evaluate & monitor the changing business environment and change current processes as necessary to effectively service the customer
- Work closely with all departments to improve internal communications
- Teamwork within the department and with other areas
- Performs other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience in the steel and component industries highly preferred.
- General knowledge and understanding of several business areas
- Strong Steel industry and Component experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability
- Strong understand of engineering, drafting, manufacturing, and shipping procedures
- Ability to drive organization to be industry leaders in customer service, job scheduling, project management, quality systems, product trends, and issues within each market
- Ability to work several leads with other areas of responsibility
- Ability to dig into specific areas tactfully and respectfully
- Effectively work independently or others current specific projects
- Strong general office tools skills, i.e. MS Project, MS Outlook, EXCEL, and EPICOR preferred
- Ability to read and understand drawings/blueprints
- Sensitivity to the nuances of cultural differences and ability to help others with those differences
- Ability to plan, organize, and co-ordinate resources to ensure projects are completed in an efficient manner
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize competing priorities
- Regular and timely attendance is required
