Dietitian Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at the Sac and Fox Tribe of Iowa. As a key member of our health services team, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy eating habits and providing nutrition education to our community members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop personalized plans of care for patients with diabetes and other health conditions.
• Provide one-on-one counseling and education on healthy eating habits, nutrition, and wellness.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement nutrition interventions and programs.
• Review and analyze menu options for our health programs and make recommendations for improvement.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in our electronic health record system.
• Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote healthy eating and wellness.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in nutrition and dietetics.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) licensed in the State of Iowa.
• Experience working with diverse populations and cultural backgrounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions
