Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for children in a safe and stimulating environment
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor play
- Prepare meals and snacks for children, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or preferences
- Assist with homework and educational activities
- Maintain a clean and organized play area
- Ensure children's safety at all times, including during outings or transportation
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise
Skills:
- Experience working with children of various ages, from infants to school-aged
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures for children
- Ability to handle common childhood emergencies, such as minor injuries or illnesses
- Understanding of age-appropriate developmental milestones and activities
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with children and their families
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each child
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment
