Position Status: P/T, Non-exempt. This position is of an “at will" employment status

Salary: From $17.00 per hour

Job Type: Part Time

Work Location: One location

Schedule:

· 8 hr. shift

· Day shift

· Monday to Friday

Job Description:

  • Assist with maintaining agency facilities with repairs and maintenance work assignments.
  • Assist with residential moves with staff and prepare facilities for new residents.
  • Maintains general building maintenance, light custodial work such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, stripping, sealing, painting, floors, vacuuming and minor repairs.
  • The Facilities Assistant will maintain the grounds of multiple facilities through tasks such as mowing, weeding, raking, sweeping, leaf blowing and snow removal.
  • This individual will need to work in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives with agency staff.

Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED and/or vocational school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related trades training or equivalent work experience in maintenance, equipment support and repair.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance as required.
  • Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
  • Basic use of a computer and Windows environment is required.
  • Must possess good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Maintain Domestic Violence Certification and Sexual Harassment training - Provided by Safe Futures, Inc.
  • Ability to demonstrate respect, sensitivity and maintain strict confidentiality of client, donor and employee information.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients and use of judgement to properly escalate issues to ensure resolution.
