What are the responsibilities and job description for the CFM Used Business Manager position at Safran?
Job Description
- Based at CFM Materials headquarters, the CFM Used Business Manager is the main Safran Aircraft Engines focal point for all activities involving both Safran Aircraft Engines and CFM Materials.
- Directly attached to the Safran Aircraft Engines Advisor of CFM Materials, he/she is his/her local relay in regards with CFM Materials day-to-day activities.
- The CFM Used Business Manager is the reference for Safran Aircraft Engines on all products and solutions proposed by CFM Materials, ultimately becoming a Used Market specialist. He/she is involved in the CFM "Mature Fleet" Strategy.
Main Interactions:
- External:
CFM and Safran Aircraft Engines Customers (lessors, airlines, etc.);
CFM Materials customers and providers (Engine shops, brokers, lessors, airlines, repair stations).
- Internal:
Safran Aircraft Engines and GE Customer Teams (Sales Directors, Customer Program Managers, Services teams, etc.);
Safran Aircraft Engines and GE Forecasting and Program Organizations.
Complementary Description
Your job mainly consists of:
- Being the Safran Aircraft Engines Ambassador at CFM Materials and providing day-to-day view of what is happening at CFM Materials to Safran Aircraft Engines Advisor and the Board Members;
- Being an active member of the CFM Deal Factory when CFM Materials is involved: dal feasibility, making sure that the deals are balanced between CFMM, Safran Aircraft Engines, GE & CFM, contract reviews, etc.;
- Preparing the Advisor or Board Members' deal approval with CFM Materials;
- Developing an expertise of the Used Market and sharing it through "Mature Fleet" Strategy initiatives at Safran Aircraft Engines or CFM, attending to international conferences or shows on the topic, analyzing data coming from CFM Materials, etc.;
- Making sure that both "parents" of the JV (Safran and GE) are equally treated;
- Promoting CFM Materials products through dedicated communication tools (newsletters, trainings);
- Bringing Safran Aircraft Engines best practices to CFM Materials in order to improve its performance (Strategy, contracts, KPI, etc.).
Job Requirements
- Language: English native or close to native, French would be a plus;
- Excellent communicating, negotiating and deal-making skills;
- Adaptive, proactive and innovative skills;
- Project Management & analytic skills.
Education:
- Master of Science, Business or equivalent.
Experience:
- Engineering or Business experience related with Aerospace Industry.
Specificity of the job
Frequent business trips to France, all major conferences/shows in the US as well as in Europe, etc.
