Job Title: Safety Coordinator

Schedule: Full Time, M-Th, 6am - 4pm (Exempt)

Pay: $50,000.00/yr

The Safety Coordinator will oversee all aspects of safety compliance, training, incident response, and continuous initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies for manufacturing operations in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing areas to identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address safety concerns related to machinery, equipment, and work processes.
• Lead safety training sessions for manufacturing employees on topics such as hazard recognition, safe work practices, and emergency procedures.
• Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including incident reports, safety training records, and safety meeting minutes.
• Work closely with the Safety Committee and management to drive safety initiatives, engage employees, and promote a positive safety culture.
• Keep abreast of changes in safety regulations and industry trends, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in safety coordination or management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, machine guarding principles, and industrial safety practices.
• Experience conducting safety audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and train employees at all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
