Basic Information

• Schedule: Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
• Location: We are staffing for 5 locations in Metro Detroit (Dearborn Heights, Detroit, Canton, Westland, Sterling Heights)
• Duration: June 24th - July 24th, 2024
• Compensation: $30-$45/hour

Focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM): Our program emphasizes STEAM education, providing a unique opportunity for students to explore and engage with concepts in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in a hands-on and interactive manner.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan and facilitate engaging activities, games, and lessons that promote learning and creativity within the STEAM disciplines.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported as they explore STEAM concepts.
• Assist with educational activities and provide guidance to students as they delve into the world of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
• Organize activities to encourage teamwork, integrating STEAM principles whenever possible.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to ensure the smooth operation of the summer school program, with a focus on STEAM enrichment.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited university or passing of Michigan WorkKeys Assessment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications [Word, Excel, PowerPoint], databases and social media platforms.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
