POSITION SUMMARY:
SageLife is seeking an experienced HR Generalist (HRG) who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise to support our growing portfolio of senior living communities. The HRG will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of SageLife by offering guidance and support on recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship among all associates. The Ideal candidate will be a self starter with the desire to advance with our growing portfolio.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Practice The Sage Way – We Care Values
Partner with our communities and leadership teams across the Human Resources spectrum, including areas such as engagement activities, employee relations, investigations, wage & hour compliance, and coaching/development of associates.
Provide proactive recruiting assistance/talent management efforts for a variety of positions, including enhancing our employment brand on social media.
Help to monitor the SageLife culture so that it supports the attainment of our Mission and Values and promotes associate engagement and satisfaction.
Provide support in implementing programs to help improve the associate experience.
Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues.
Participate in conducting investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
Manage the development and maintenance of the Human Resources sections of SageLife internet sites, particularly recruiting, culture, and company information.
Review policies & procedures and handbook periodically for compliance and continual improvement.
Assist with the development of trainings and presentations.
Conduct periodic audits of personnel records, I9 records, compensation, and data within the HRIS.
Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying abreast on current and new legislation and stays abreast on employment law/regulations as it pertains to Human Resources.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; or equivalent experience, training.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
Experience
Two – Four years of human resource generalist experience required, ideally in a service industry.
Skills
General knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion.
Evidence of critical thinking skills, ability to prioritize to respond to urgent or emergent situations.
Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills based on accurate information and/or analysis of data.
Able to work independently and meet established deadlines.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop excellent working relationships with managers and associates across the portfolio.
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
