Description
SAIC is seeking a C4IT Systems Engineer to contribute in systems development & deployment, processing & analysis, and systems engineering & integration solutions for the Navy and joint branches of the DoD. We are seeking an innovative and dedicated professional to fulfill their career goals and objectives while delivering mission excellence on programs of national importance.
Work will be conducted onsite at the Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) Camp Smith, Hawaii as well as teleworking.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Support technical planning and installation design for purposes of complying with the SIPH, which may require approval from the FRCB. Principle technical areas include audio/visual and video teleconferencing systems, radio frequency, networks, voice, electronic security systems, and infrastructure
- Identify, gather, analyze, translate, derive, report, trace, and distribute operational, functional, management, and technical requirements derived from site surveys, market research, interviews, analysis of government regulations, and maintenance of requirements traceability matrices within a Requirements Analysis Document (RAD), requirements traceability matrix, or other requested documents, as needed
- Identify C4I MILCON infrastructure requirements to support the RAD, to include ensuring cable infrastructure design meets project requirements for performance, growth, and scalability. C4I systems include Electronic Security Systems, Audio Visual/Video Teleconferencing Systems, Infrastructure, Networking and Telephony
- Provide technical guidance and program support for assigned MILCON & MAMIZU projects and programmatic planning
- Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining programmatic technical documentation
- Review product deliverables for technical accuracy and provide assessment to Program Manager
- Assist the Program Technical Manager in developing Program strategies, objectives, and priorities to assist in the production of the Program Master Plan
- Identify program deficiencies and provide recommended solutions and guidance
- Assist in developing MILCON planning documents, such as the Activity-Level DD Form 1391 MILCON Project Data and Basic Facility Requirement (BFR)
- Participate in facility planning, design, and installation meetings/workshops
Qualifications
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education & training relevant to tasking
- Five (5) years of experience in the planning, design, installation and integration of complex electronics systems
- Five (5) years of experience in the integration and installation of complex information transfer systems, automatic digital data systems, communication systems, configuration management and control systems, computer systems and related subsystems
- Two (2) years of experience with DoD design or installation projects
