Description
SAIC is seeking one Material Coordinator to support an SCA contingent contract in Virginia Beach, VA . This effort requires personnel to :
- Reclaim F / A-18 Hornet aircraft components in support of the SARDIP (Stricken Aircraft Reclamation and Disposal Program), research, packaging, documentation and movement of these items to applicable Naval Supply activities.
- Prepare documentation and arrange supply processing of removals to include flight controls, inner / outer wings, doors, panels, hydraulics, landing gear, ECS, electrical and avionic system components, engines and fuel systems components, canopies and windscreen assemblies.
- Identify and request special crates and shipping containers.
- Assist in the packaging of reclaimed aircraft components in accordance with applicable instructions.
Qualifications
Education and experience :
High School diploma or GED equivalent, military / civilian aviation supply school or equivalent formal education.
Required skills :
- Experience preferred with Navy supply retrograde system eRMS and P700 packaging instructions.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word programs.
- Experience preferred in use and processing of DD1149 and DD1348-1A documentation.
- Experience preferred in working on F / A-18 platform.
- Ability to lift 50 LBS.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek at customer location.
- Must be willing to travel to other DoD air stations to perform work (25 percent).
Required clearance :
- The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and is required to have current National Agency Check or submit and pass FBI Fingerprint / Background checks to gain required base access identification cards.
- US Citizenship is required to meet the security requirements for this contract.
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
