Description
The Preboarding Specialist is a member of the Talent Acquisition team who is responsible for working with all interested parties to ensure all required pre-hire tasks are completed and new hires are ready for their first day of work. The Preboarding Team's primary focus is ensuring an excellent onboarding experience for both candidates and hiring managers. This position may be remote for the right candidate.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Accurate & timely coordination of all onboarding related new hire activities, including forms, Q&A, drug screening, background verification, electronic I-9 completion, employee ID generation, records retention, bonus processing, etc.
- Work with candidates to ensure they understand the process and guide them through each task, answering questions clearly, accurately and with professionalism
- Review background checks in detail to ensure all sections are complete and unfavorable results are handled appropriately, in accordance with SAIC policies and the Fair Credit Reporting Act
- Review Form I-9 in detail to ensure all data points are accurate prior to submitting to E-Verify; in addition to working with the employee or certifier to quickly and correctly address discrepancies
- Navigate and update multiple databases and vendor portals for tracking and management of new hire onboarding
- Work as part of a team to achieve goals, including maintaining open lines of communication with other team members and outside interested parties
- Service as subject matter expert across all onboarding activities to answer ad hoc questions, train and cross-train as necessary
- Comply with federal & state regulations, as well as company policies
- Support audit and compliance activities

- High school diploma with two years of related experience

- Excellent communication skills in a variety of settings
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Salary : $41,600 - $52,700
