Joe Saienni, PC is seeking to add a Legal Assistant to our growing Phoenix office. The right candidate will be ready and able to provide world-class client service in a professional and empathetic and ethical manner to our clients. Duties and Responsibilities for this Legal Assistant include the following:

  • Greeting all visitors to the firm with a smile and assisting them with their needs.
  • Process the mail daily.
  • Assist the paralegals in various tasks including scheduling, calling clients to confirm appointments, contacting medical providers to confirm client balances, and following up on outstanding police reports.
  • Ordering reporting from various agencies at the direction of the paralegals.
  • Opening new claims with insurance companies as directed by the paralegals.
  • Monitor, order, and stock supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Outlook, LawBase Case Management software and Worldox.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.92 - $21.58 per hour
