POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Program Manager
Responsible to: Executive Director
Summary: The Program Manager is a member of the Executive Director’s Leadership Team. This position includes program management, development, facilitation, and leadership direction to programs at SAIL. Responsibilities include the management of employees in their respective assigned programs. All services and programs supervised by this position shall promote the mission of SAIL and actively demonstrate a staff and organizational commitment to the independent living philosophy.
Areas of Responsibility and Essential Job Duties:
Assist and supervise program teams to ensure the services are developed and implemented alongside fellow Program Managers. Facilitate assigned program growth by directing and monitoring assigned program staff. Develop, manage, and adhere to the supervised programs' reporting guidelines and/or work plan. Building community partnerships. Increase and evaluate staff outreach to increase consumer base across various communities in the U.P. to individuals with disabilities. Complete reporting requirements for assigned grants or services. Communicate with supervisor on a regular basis to ensure continuity of services within the assigned programs.
Qualifications and Important Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field (i.e., human services, social work, communication). May consider equivalent management work experience.
Experience: Three to five years working in a professional environment or non-profit is required.
Work Environment and Physical Abilities:
Standard office environment while performing duties; sitting at desk, communicating, reaching with arms. Must have valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation. Can perform duties with or without accommodations for a disability, manipulating a computer keyboard, completing database entries, etc.
