Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering and Facilities Department. This role is responsible for general building operations of the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center campus and the associated structures falling under the same license throughout the Treasure Valley. The manager will lead the various engineering, plant and grounds departments in the successful execution of established objectives (financial and non-financial) as articulated through the organizational structure and the strategic and tactical plans in compliance with any regulatory requirements as set by the authorities having jurisdiction over the above properties.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. 8 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Five years of operational and facility management experience in a healthcare facility required including 2 years at a supervisory level.
- Previous leadership roles reporting to senior management preferred.
- Previous emergency management experience including Incident Command System (ICS) training preferred.
- CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager) preferred. If selected candidate does not possess CHFM it must be obtained within 3 years of hire date.
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for the continual readiness for regulatory authorities including the Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA, DEQ, CMS and others. Maintains the Joint Commission Statement of Conditions documentation and all other necessary documentation required for occupancy and licensure.
- In collaborative efforts with the Director, Safety Officer and department leadership, the manager is responsible for planning and maintaining facility operations and the effective organization of labor and material controls necessary for those efforts.
- The manager will plan, organize, supervise, coordinate and control the activities of plant operations, maintenance, engineering and groundskeeping which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures and their systems to include: H.V.A.C., mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life-safety and fire management and utilities in an operative and safe working condition.
- Must provide leadership, positive reinforcement, transparency and training in the development of the maintenance, engineering and grounds personnel for effective building operations, safety and regulatory compliance in accordance with the effective management practices for Saint Alphonsus Reginal Medical Center.
- Must be able to support the engineering and maintenance teams in infrastructure and building-related capital improvement, repair and replacement projects including the development of long and short-term budgets, strategic planning, development and design and project and construction management of approved projects.
