With this acquisition, Saint-Gobain reinforced its worldwide leadership in light and sustainable construction by becoming the top siding player in Canada. Saint-Gobain has an immediate employment opportunity in the Richford, Vermont for an Extrusion Packer. This person ensures production flow by packing all plastic extruded products that have come off the extrusion line.

Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 3rd shifts
Job status: Full time – Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Package all products properly and check to ensure the nesting, piece count, box labels, barcodes, UPC labels (if applied), and date stamps are correct
• Record run number stamp, employee stamp, and box number on all boxes packed
• Inspect all products for visual and physical defect, to ensure 100% quality
• Notify the Operator, Q/A tech, or Supervisor of any quality problems found
• Assist Operator when starting up/shutting down a line or during line problems
• Ongoing cleaning of your area, by keeping it swept, and free of trip hazards
• Other duties as assigned by the shift Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Completed high school diploma, or equivalent (asset)
• Experience as a packer is a plus, particularly in plastic manufacturing
• High school or equivalent
• Production experience
• Ability to lift/move/push/pull heavy objects up to 60 lbs
• Flexibility to adjust daily work flow, to complete tasks
