**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a talented Music Director to lead our music program and enhance our musical beauty. The ideal candidate will have a degree in music, organ, or piano performance, minimum of two years’ experience performing at Mass, have proficient keyboard skills on organ and piano, speak English and Spanish, and be knowledgeable of Catholic liturgy and music.
**Responsibilities:**
- Selects, prepares, and coordinates music year-round for liturgical activities at Saint Helena, according to season and need
- Conduct rehearsals and serve as principal pianist or organist
- Collaborate with staff and musicians to coordinate liturgy and rehearsal schedules
- Work to build a comprehensive music ministry program that appreciates and utlizes Catholic sacred music
- Oversee and maintain inventory of liturgical music library
- Organize and maintain equipment used by musicians, including but not limited to organ, keyboard, and microphones
**Experience:**
- Degree in Music or related field preferred
- Minimum of two years' experience performing at Mass
- Proficiency in keyboard skills on organ or piano
- Speak both English and Spanish; fluent is preferred, but communication in both languages is a must
- Available to work weekends and some evenings; during the week is flexible, but weekends are a must
- Good knowledge of Roman Catholic liturgical music; good knowledge of sacred polyphony a plus
