1.0 POSITION SUMMARY:
The University Registrar is responsible for the accurate and efficient management of student records and satisfaction. This position is the primary owner for the maintenance of student records in compliance with the requirement of regional and national accrediting bodies, the complete cycle of course scheduling, registration, inputting grades, Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) calculation, and examines the academics of Salem University students and degree candidates. The position may be located in Indianapolis, IN, Salem WV or hybrid. If the position is located in Indianapolis, some travel to Salem, WV will be required.
2.0 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide team leadership to an office vital to effective university operations with special emphasis on student satisfaction as evidenced by effective communication, problem solving, consistency, and empathy.
- Strengthen the reputation of the university by promoting excellence in student service.
- Comply with all federal regulations by maintaining a culture of compliance, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Work collaboratively with Provost, Program Directors, Admissions and Financial Aid departments, as well as instructional faculty and academic support programs to facilitate student success.
- Manage the ongoing cycle of scheduling on a monthly and yearly basis. Ensures course schedules are developed at least 6 months in advance of courses starting.
- Oversees student registrations in the student information system (currently Anthology Student), learning management system (currently Blackboard), and SEVIS (if applicable).
- Manages student attendance, grade reporting, transfer credit, and examines the academics of Salem degree candidates to ensure that students meet graduation requirements.
- Responsible for reporting international and external data collection related to institutional research and strategic decision making.
- Fulfill needed reporting to appropriate staff members.
- Participate in preparation of all accreditation reporting.
- Maintain, organize, and manage student records and files.
- Monitor academic compliance as defined by NCAA regulations for all student-athletes and serve on the university Compliance Committee.

3.0 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications
- A master’s degree in student services, educational administration, or other related area with at least five years of experience in a student service environment.
- Proven record of successful team-facilitated supervisory experience in a student services environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Student Information Systems and Learning Management Systems, Anthology Student and Blackboard preferred, to deliver Registrar Office
- Strong reporting and analytics background with ability to generate needed reports for university leadership.
- A positive attitude and the ability to plan and adapt to change.
- The ability to work collaboratively with college departments and cross-functional teams.
- Customer service skills, responsive attitude
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts in non-technical terms.
- Record of achieving goals even without direct supervision/authority.
- Ability to analyze and find solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to work in a student-centered atmosphere, learn quickly, and support success

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
