Role Scope:
The Websites Product Line Leader will lead the strategy, roadmap and technology development for website experiences on the Salesforce digital platform. They will have end-to-end accountability for building and managing sites, working with partners in Marketing and other Salesforce functions. This person will oversee the development of :
- - The corporate website including the highly trafficked salesforce homepage, learning resources and "about us" pages on the sites.
- - The product website for Tableau, Salesforce's Analytics Cloud. The site is being positioned as a practitioner site for the Data-Fam with the content and tools to help them succeed with Tableau analytics.
- -The corporate website of Mulesoft, the integration specialist in API management.
- Trailblazer Community: The online community is the digital meeting place for the Trailblazers to learn relevant skills, connect to Trailblazers around the world, and give back to others.
- - The home for Salesforce developers to access learning, code samples and product documentation.
- Cross-site Framework - The elements of Salesforce web that span across sites, including shared navigation, search and chat.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive all aspects of each product area from vision to delivery to customer adoption.
- Manage integrated teams of Product Managers, Software Engineers, User Experience Designers and Program Managers staff in your direct reporting organization.
- Manage a global team across the Americas and Asia delivering within scrum-agile practices.
- Engage with the CMO and EVP / SVP stakeholders on direction and feedback for how the sites support campaigns, sales and customer success.
- Interface regularly with customers at events, during sales engagements, and through ad hoc sessions to develop strategy and ensure customer success.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes, and then work on a daily basis with UX designers, developers, and data scientists to make these a reality.
- Collaborate with other teams internally to ensure we are working towards cohesive customer and Trailblazer solutions in a large and complex environment.
- Define and drive key product metrics with analysts to measure product line success
Qualifications:
- History of product delivery with 15 years of software product management experience.
- Proven ability to set a vision, excite and lead cross-functional engineering and partner teams.
- Deep architectural and technical experience with websites and modern internet technologies.
- Proven track record of building cross-functional teams and developing senior leaders into executives.
- Ability to manage competing and evolving priorities. There will always be more than you can do in a day so you need to continually make sure you have the right priorities and focus.
- Exceptional technical abilities with demonstrated ability to earn the respect of high-calibre engineering and data science teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Significant experience in presentations to internal and external executives.
- Experience with agile methodologies like scrum for software development.
- Salesforce and/or customer relationship management software experience is a plus.
- Marketing and eCommerce experience a plus.
- Hands-on software engineering background a significant plus.
- The ideal candidate would have experience with B2B and B2C experiences
