Salon Service Group, founded over 32 years ago, is the nation's largest privately-owned professional beauty distributor. SSG proudly partners with the Professional Beauty Industry exclusively, through salons, spas and stylists. We have conveniently located, professionally exclusive wholesale stores representing our independently owned, high-end professional portfolio of haircare brands across SSG territories. We are committed to excellent service, quality products and most importantly, we build strong lifelong partnerships with our customers. Our highest priority is to provide our customers with the tools and support that they need for success.


This position is responsible for ensuring a high quality store and teammate performance, while increasing sales and modeling exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide excellent Customer Service including the ability to function as a role model, ensuring the customer is always top priority.
  • Maintain a high standard of merchandising, placement, store signage, and proper display techniques
  • Organize, delegate, prioritize, meet deadlines and follow-up on all activities within the store
  • Challenge and motivate employees
  • Effectively communicate with store team, Director of Stores, Outside Sales Team and Home Office
  • Day to day operations of store including inventory management, cash management, and general retail store functions

Requirements

Qualified applicants will have an attitude of ownership of your store, a superior customer service attitude and confidence in one's abilities.


Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent Customer service, communication and organization skills
  • (1) year minimum supervisory experience in a retail setting
  • Working knowledge of inventory management
  • Store merchandise experience
  • Salon Industry knowledge and interest
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to meet customer's needs and resolve challenges
  • Present a professional appearance

This is salary paid position with quarterly and yearly bonus opportunities. Regularly, our stores are open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm (6:00pm on Thursdays). This position will require work on a weekend occasionally and occasional travel.
