Salt Stone is the first independent restaurant from restaurateurs Sean and Sue Olson. The couple has over 40 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry working with major restaurants brands, independent catering companies, and fresh seafood and meat markets. Based on years of traveling, knowledge of sourcing, and family recipes, Salt Stone brings the best ingredients and preparation to the plate in a casual, modern atmosphere. Located in the heart of Assembly Row (Somerville, MA) minutes from downtown Boston, the restaurant boasts a vibrant atmosphere with floor to ceiling windows, two extensive bars, a raw bar, private small dining area, and outdoor covered patio pavilion with full-service.
Assistant Manager
Duties:
- Assist the manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth workflow
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries and concerns
- Manage inventory and stock levels to ensure availability of products
- Utilize math skills to accurately handle cash transactions and perform cash register operations
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Assist in training and supervising staff members
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and record keeping
- Implement marketing strategies to promote products and increase sales
Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in phone etiquette and communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
