What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Home Caregiver position at Salt?
Looking for assistance with in home caregiving needs for elderly parent. Preferred fulltime, live in care. However, will consider part time rotating shifts as well for the right caregiver.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Able to lift and assist moving patient to/from bed, wheelchair, toilet, etc.
- Assist with meal planning and preparation
- Administer medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing
- Engage in conversation and provide companionship to clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a caregiver preferred but not required
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Ability to pass a background check
