Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Sells coffees and other products by maintaining and improving the appearance of the entire store and coffee bar; determining customer coffee
interests and needs; presenting and explaining current and new services and products ; answering questions from customers and explaining
differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipment operates; replenishing coffee bean supply;
stocking coffee brewing equipment; and maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
Prepares and serves coffee drinks and other products by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks (for example,
espresso, latte, and cappuccino) and food items; improvising recipes to suit customers requests; following equipment operating instructions;
performing preventive maintenance of equipment; troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and calling for repairs; and following company safety and
sanitation policies, standards, and regulations.
Improves services and product quality by participating in educational opportunities like brewing/tasting courses; reading about coffee, retail trade, and
food service publications; exploring opportunities to add value to services and products; and studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes and
implementing changes.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy;
and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other
business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and
recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
